This full show was one of the most exciting things to come out recently - even in the exalted realms of Europe '72, it's one of the peaks. Playin' in the Band is one of the first ones to get stretched-out and spacy - the Dark Star is very spacy as well, and the Uncle John>space>Wharf Rat>Star is a truly unique segue - the Good Lovin' also has a nice long, mellow jam.
My memory might be off, but I think Jerry is actually playing Pigpen's keyboard during the opening verses of Good Lovin' - he only starts playing his guitar after the jam starts. He did that a couple times during that tour.

I love how you can barely tell where Wharf Rat ends and Dark Star begins.

Burned this the other day for my Memorial Day listen. The Good Lovin' is especially good. At one point during the jam I asked my wife (non-deadhead by-the-way) what song we were listening to and she couldn't remember or figure it out. And that is a good thing!!!

Man, you are so right. I'm only halfway through this Good Lovin' and I'm pretty sure that it's the best one I've ever heard. The Jerry/Bob interplay is absolutely first rate.
